Telefunken ELA M 251

It is thought that fewer than 2000 total original ELA M 251 microphones were built before Telefunken discontinued sales of the microphone. Since that time, thousands of musicians have recorded countless records with this legendary mic, and its value and reputation is still unequaled. 

We typically pair our ELA M 251 with one of our Manley preamps for an an incredibly silky tone but it is equally incredible through our Trident A Range preamp, Neve 1073  or really any preamp you choose from our equipment list depending on the vibe you are going for.  Combined with one of our Teletronix LA-2A limiters or Manley ELOP+ limiters and the sound is pure sonic heaven. Hands down, our artists gasp in awe the first time they hear the legendary tone of this mic and you will too.
